Ozonia Commissions Kimhae Ozone Plant
On January 14, 2003, Ozonia Korea engineers successfully completed commissioning of the Myungdong Ozone Treatment Works as part of the ongoing extension for the City of Kimhae WaterWorks. This second phase ozone plant incorporates two 17.5 kg/hr (924 lbs./day) ozone generators operating at 12.4 weight % from liquid oxygen and the relatively high cooling water temperature of 26oC.
This phase of the project is part of the ongoing extension at the Kimhae City Water Works. The City already operates three similar sized Ozonia generators installed approximately 4-5 years ago.
As well as for general disinfection, ozone was selected at Kimhae for taste and color removal due to the high organics content of the water.
Financial details of the project were not disclosed.
Ozonia is a global provider of on-site disinfection systems utilizing ozone and /or Ultraviolet (UV) technologies.
