Ozonia To Provide Ozone System For Taiwan

Zurich– Ozonia Ltd. Switzerland has been awarded by the City of Kaohsiung, Taiwan a contract for the supply of a 6,760 lbs./day (128 kg/hr) ozone generation facility for drinking water treatment. The Chen Chin Lake Water Treatment facility will deliver 127 MGD (480,000 M3/day) water to serve the 1.4 million inhabitants of Kaohsiung, which is Taiwan’s second largest city.

The Chen Chin Lake Water Treatment Plant utilizes pre ozonation followed by filtration for the removal of organic pollutants and pesticides. This is followed by post ozonation for overall disinfection.

The facility is expected to be commissioned in the third quarter of 2003.

Ozonia is a manufacturer of non-chemical disinfection technologies using ozone and/or UV treatment.
