Ozonia Selected For Gury City Sewage Works

Ozonia has been selected to supply two large-scale ozone disinfection facilities for municipal wastewater disinfection by Gury City, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The Gury City Plants are 14.3 mgd (2,250 M3/h) and 29 mgd (4,583 M3/h) in capacity with respective ozone demands of 22 kg/h and 44 kg/h.

Ozone production is 13% (wt.) from liquid oxygen (LOX) and are the first high concentration ozone installations for wastewater disinfection in South Korea.

The Gury City Wastewater Treatment Plants had originally been designed around UV disinfection but was changed to ozone for the added benefits of reducing color, COD and BOD.
