Jiaxing Installation

Jiaxing, China - Ozonia Ltd. (Zurich) has been selected by the City of Jiaxing for the supply of a 30 kg/h (1,584 lb./day) ozone system as part of an overall upgrade to the Shijiuyang Water Treatment Plant. The Shijiuyang WTP selected the Ozonia system as part of an effort to reduce their chlorination use by at least one half. The existing plant will be modified to use pre-ozonation before coagulation and settling, followed by main ozonation and GAC filters before final chlorination.

The Shijiuyang WTP serves approximately 300,000 people. The plant upgrade is a fast-track project scheduled for completion in early 2004. Financial details were not disclosed.
