Ozonia to Supply Ozone Plant in Belarus
MOGILEV CITY, BELARUS — Ozonia has been contracted to supply a large scale 3,700 lbs./day (70 kg/h) ozone treatment system for combined wastewater (municipal + industrial) treatment in this city.
The Mogilev City Plant is 74 MGD (280 000 m3 /day) in capacity and treats combined municipal and industrial waste water (approximately 50/50 ratio). After substantial pilot testing the authority selected an “Ozone-Surface-Active” technology, developed by a local process engineering company.
The system is the first large-scale ozone installation for wastewater treatment in the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States - former Soviet Union) countries, according to the company.
The ozone plant commissioning is planned for 2nd quarter Ozonia officials said. Financial details were not disclosed.
Ozonia is a manufacturer of ozone and ultraviolet disinfection systems.
