Degremont Technologies (SUEZ) Appoints Chief Executive Officer in North America
Richmond, VA, May 2007 – Degremont, S.A., the global water treatment specialist and wholly owned subsidiary of SUEZ Environment has appointed Mr. Shyam J. Bhan as Chief Executive Officer - North America, effective April 2, 2007.
Bhan will head 4 of the leading providers and manufacturers of water and wastewater equipment in North America. The companies – which include Infilco Degremont Inc. and Ozonia North America in the United States, as well as Anderson Water Systems and Degremont Ltd. in Canada - were recently unified under the Degremont Technologies (SUEZ) banner.

A 22 year veteran of the water industry, Bhan joined the Degremont Group 10 years ago, first as Managing Director of Degremont India, and most recently as Managing Director of Degremont UK. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Kashmir, India, an M.S. (Environmental Engineering) from the University of North Dakota, as well as an MBA from Syracuse University. Bhan will be based in New Jersey.
He succeeds former CEO Marc Hauchecorne, who has been appointed CEO for Degremont Technologies (SUEZ) in Europe and Asia.
