Cyanide Regeneration
Cyanide processes used for the extraction of gold and silver from mineral ores frequently generate thiocyanide due to the processing of sulphur containing solids. Ozone can be utilized to recover cyanide from thiocyanate for less than the cost of newly purchased cyanide. Net benefits include reduced chemical consumption and handling, safety and lower operating costs.
